The Bible: We believe in the verbal-plenary inspiration of Scripture in the original languages, and God’s preservation of His words to every generation. We believe that the Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God breathed. The King James Version is the only English version we accept and use. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice.
God: We believe in one God who is eternally existent, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. We believe He is one God, yet distinct in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ to be the virgin born Son of God who is co-equal, co-existent, and co-eternal with God the Father and God the Spirit. He lived a sinless life in order to be our sinless sacrifice on the cross for the sins of all mankind. We believe in the literal, physical resurrection of the Lord and His ascension into heaven to be our intercessor and advocate. He tasted death for every man, and freely offers the gift of salvation to all who will receive it.
Sin and Salvation: We believe that all men are born sinners because of their common ancestor, Adam. All men are sinners by nature and by choice and are incapable of attaining salvation on their own. The only way of salvation is through simple faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross as our blood atonement for sin.
The New Testament Church: We believe the church began with Christ and His disciples, and was empowered at Pentecost. The New Testament Church is God’s agent for His work in this world. It is an organized body of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together with the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission. We believe in the autonomy of the local church. Christ is the only head of the church. We believe there are two church offices: the pastor and deacons. We believe there are two church ordinances: believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. We believe all true believers will be carried away at the Rapture of the Church, just prior to the Tribulation.
